Hello Trainers!

September is flying by, but these Pokémon are too big to slow down! We have a new raid, a new Dynamax hunt, and a very exciting community day. Get your Pokèdex ready because you don’t want to miss this.

Community Day September 2024 features Ponyta, the Fire Horse Pokémon, and Galarian Ponyta, the Unique Horn Pokémon! Players have the chance to encounter Shiny Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta in the wild. Ponyta Community Day takes place on Saturday, Sept. 14th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Evolving either form of Ponyta during the event will result in Rapidash knowing the exclusive charge attack Wild Charge.

Ponyta Community Day takes place Saturday, Sept. 14th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., both forms of Ponyta will appear more frequently in the wild, with community day shiny odds.

Both forms of Ponyta will appear in four-star raids! After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on unique 4-Star Raid Battles.

For the raids, here are Pokémon and the times for each listed below, along with their locations:

Raid Hours take place every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and you won’t have to worry about time zones as it will always be your local time. This is the perfect chance to get out there and catch yourself a Legendary Pokémon.

Another Galarian Pokémon is coming! Debuting at the start of the Psychic Spectacular Pokemon GO event in 2024 is Hatenna. This Psychic-type Pokemon, along with its two evolutions, Hattrem and Hatterene, will be available to catch for the first time for everyone at enhanced odds for a limited time.

During the debut, Hatenna, Hattrem, and Hatterene will not be shiny during the Psychic Spectacular event. You can encounter Hatenna in the wild, complete Field Research Tasks during the event, or hatch 7 km eggs. The meetup in Bristol will be at Rockwell Park.

Along with this, Max Battles can be found a Power Spots starting Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. local time, in the same way raids can be found Gyms. To enter a Max Battle, there are two requirements:

Having at least one Dynamax Pokémon, as standard Pokémon will not be accepted.

Having enough Max Particles, with entry costing 250 MP for one-star encounters.

Up to four trainers total can enter a Max Battle, each with up to three Dynamax Pokémon. These encounters start like raids or Go Team Rocket battles, where Fast and Charged attacks will be used while a Max Meter builds. When it’s full, your Pokémon will Dynamax, and is able to make use of any unlocked Max Moves.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
