Eastern volleyball team loses tough 5-set match to Berlin Wednesday night

Bristol Eastern’s volleyball team came oh so close to an upset of Berlin Wednesday night, leading the Redcoats two sets to one and coming within a couple of points of clinching victory in set four, but Berlin edged past the Lancers by a score of 28-26 in the fourth and then won the match with a 15-10 final set victory.

The Berlin team got an outstanding performance from Gianna Barile, who totaled 53 digs and 4 aces.
Charley Carlson added 17 kills, 27 digs and 1 ace. Peyton Nadeau had 8 kills and 3 aces for the Redcoats.


Eastern’s Kamila Mateo Rivera filled the stat sheet with 29 digs, 17 kills and 3 aces. Harper Dauphinee was also a force for the Lancers with 22 digs, 15 kills and 3 aces.
