Get ready for Halloween, treats are forthcoming

Hello Trainers!

We are more than halfway through October, and this article has more treats than tricks. Get prepared for the finale of this month, and some special goodies for Halloween!

Yamask & Galarian Yamask Research Day (Oct. 19)

Research Day on October 19 featured Yamask and Galarian Yamask. Players had the chance to encounter these Ghost-type Pokemon along with other spooky creatures such as Cubone, Duskull, and Shieldon. Many of these Pokemon appeared in their Shiny forms, making it an exciting day for collectors.

Halloween 2024: Part I (Oct. 22 – Oct. 28)

As is tradition, Halloween is a major event in Pokémon Go, and this year’s spooky celebration began on Oct. 22. Part I of the Halloween event featured the introduction of Morpeko and Dynamax Gastly, along with themed research tasks and special avatar items.

Go Bigger Event (Oct. 26 – Oct. 27)

At the end of the month, Gigantamax Pokemon like Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise will make their debut. These special Max Battles are set to shake things up, offering new challenges and opportunities for trainers.

Halloween 2024: Part II (Oct. 28 – Nov. 3)

Following on from Part I, the second part of the Halloween event will introduce new bonuses and research tasks. Details are yet to be revealed, but fans can expect even more spooky surprises as we move into November.

For the raids, here are Pokémon and the times for each listed below, along with their locations:

As always, Raid Hours take place every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. This is the perfect chance to get out there and catch yourself a Legendary Pokémon.

The Halloween 2024 event kicks off with Part I, running from Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. to Monday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. This year’s festivities bring the spooky vibes back with the debut of Morpeko and the introduction of Dynamax Gastly!

  • – **Start:** Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m.
  • – **End:** Monday, Oct, 28, at 10 a.m.

**Exciting Bonuses:**

  • – **Morpeko’s Debut**: Morpeko, the Electric/Dark-type Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut!
  • – **Dynamax Battles**: Experience Gastly in one-star Max Battles for the first time.
  • – **Double Candy**: Earn 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, with increased chances for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL.
  • – **Shiny Encounters**: Look out for increased chances to encounter Shiny Umbreon in raids and Shiny Zorua in the wild.

Meet Morpeko

Morpeko’s unique feature is its ability to switch forms in battle, changing between Full Belly and Hangry modes with the Charged Attack Aura Wheel. This dynamic will introduce new strategies for trainers during Team GO Rocket encounters and in the GO Battle League.

**How to Catch Morpeko:**

  • – **Battles**: Morpeko can be obtained from Trainer Battle rewards and will appear frequently in the premium track of the GO Battle League during the event.
  • – **Timed Research**: Complete exclusive Timed Research or Field Research tasks for a chance to encounter Morpeko.
  • – **Wild Spawns**: Expect to find many spooky Pokémon like Zubat, Spinarak, Murkrow, and more in the wild during this event.

Max Battles and Raids

In addition to catching Morpeko, trainers can participate in Max Battles featuring Dynamax Gastly. One-star Max Battles will include Gastly and other starter Pokémon, while three-star Max Battles will feature Pokémon like Hisuian Typhlosion and Umbreon.

**Event Raids Include:**

  • – **One-Star Raids**: Sneasel, Sableye, Yamask, and Galarian Yamask.
  • – **Three-Star Raids**: Hisuian Typhlosion, Umbreon, and Bombirdier.
