Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Niedzwiecki) Brzezicki, 98

Elizabeth “Betty” (Niedzwiecki) Brzezicki, 98, of Bristol, wife of the late Stanley “Butch” Brzezicki, died on Oct. 15, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in South Windsor, Conn. Born in Chelsea, Mass., Feb. 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Olszewski) and Julian Niedzwiecki.

Betty leaves her three sons and their wives, Michael and Anne of Merritt Island, Fla; Joseph and Davida of Ellington, Conn.; Peter and Elizabeth and their children Julia, and Peter and his wife, Brianna of Wethersfield, Conn. She also leaves her sister, Josephine Kava of Brockton, Mass., and several nieces, and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by ten siblings.

Betty was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, the St. Stanislaus Golden Agers and past president of St. Stan’s Ladies Guild Organization. A founding member of the Friends of the Bristol Senior Center, a Hartford County 4-H Camp staff member, she also volunteered with her husband at CT Senior Olympics, winning a gold medal in golf putting. Betty’s yard was where the neighborhood kids hung out and she was known for her cheerful hospitality, always welcoming her family and friends, and son’s friends, even unannounced!

Calling hours will be Monday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave, Bristol. A funeral will start at 9 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 22, until a procession that will leave for St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West Street, Bristol, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave, Bristol.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West Street, Bristol, CT 06010.
