The Bristol Fire Department responded to 84 incidents the week of Oct. 14, including the following:
- 13 motor vehicles accidents (w/o injury),
- 10 lockouts,
- 5 each of the following: medical assists, unauthorized burning calls, smoke scares/odor of smoke calls,
- 4 each of the following: motor vehicle accident (w/injuries), vehicle accident (general cleanup), carbon monoxide detector activations (no CO),
- 3 good intent calls,
- 2 each of the following: natural vegetation fires (inc. other), hazardous conditions, electrical wiring/electrical problems, dispatched and canceled enroute calls, false alarm or false calls, unintentional transmission of alarm calls, smoke detector activation (no fire/unintentional) calls and
- 1 each of the following: building fire, fuel burner/boiler malfunction (fire confined), special outside fire, extrication of victim(s) from vehicle, removal of victim(s) from stalled elevator, gas leak (natural gas or LPC), carbon monoxide incident, power line down, aircraft standby, smoke or odor removal, assist police or other governmental agency, steam/other gas mistaken for smoke, steam/vapor/ fog or dust thought to be smoke, sprinkler activation due to malfunction, alarm system activation (no fire-intentional) and citizen complaint.
