Lake Compounce ‘Phantom Fall Fest’ ends this weekend

Traveling from Rhode Island, Lex Rini, Andrea Lundquist, Steph Vaccaro, Hailey Smith Andrea have season passes to Lake Compounce and love to come to Phantom Fall Fest.

They begin their fright-filled evening by making S’mores.

“Canobie [Park] is closer, but this Park is better, and the free soda helps” said Andrea, speaking for the group.

The Fall Phantom Fest ends this weekend. Its schedule follows:

Arrive early for Play All Day family-friendly trick-or-treating, Halloween dance party, scavenger hunt, the Slime Station and rides geared for the young. The fear kicks into gear at 6pm for older kids and adults “but only if you dare” says Phantom Fall Fest website.

Play All Day– includes a variety of scheduled and day-long activities for families until 6 p.m.

  • Trick-or-Treat — 2 to 4 p.m. Take a Halloween journey through the park to experience thrills, chills, and candy!
  • Halloween Dance Party — 2 and 3 p.m., two shows.
  • Photo Scavenger Hunt with prizes — Find your favorite photo spots in the park. Snap them all to win a prize.
  • Kids Costume Parade and Contest with prizes — 4 p.m. (Sunday, Oct. 27)
  • Decorate-Your-Pumpkin* — Find a pumpkin to call your own and decorate it!
  • The Slime Station* –Kids can mix up their own slimy brews, adding glitter, colors, and textures to create their own slime.
  • Stuff-A-Boo-Bear* — A Halloween workshop where Kids can transform a bear into adorable or spooky Halloween characters.
  • Enjoy all the rides in Kiddie Village until 6 p.m.

Fright All Night

After 6 p.m. the park “takes screams to the extreme.”

The new “Roaming Horde of Horrors” — The streets fill with fog for the night frights; sinister clowns, zombies and creatures of the night begin to roam and slither amidst the park to scare and engage with park attendees.

This year includes four haunted houses including two new haunts. (descriptions from the Parks website)

  • Bloodcraft (NEW) – A new terror has been summoned from the darkness as evil has corrupted all it has touched and nowhere is safe in the newest, largest and most interactive haunt ever introduced during Phantom Fall Fest.
  • Malignant: Overgrown Evil (NEW) – The roots of evil have spread and taken over an abandoned garden to cultivate a new nest of horror. The evil has called forth dire creatures to its new home, and summoned others from the earth below. Guests must navigate the vines and fog to escape the terror the grows around them.
  • mAlice in Wonderland 3D – Fears are taken to the extreme in this three-dimensional rabbit hole where the evil inhabitants of this twisted Wonderland await to shock, awe and challenge every step through the twisted labyrinth of Wonderland.
  • MediEvil – The only way out is to face judgement from the Inquisitor through soul-wrenching torture throughout this medieval chamber of chaos, filled with never-ending punishment and no way to escape the dark fate that lies ahead.
