The second annual Halloween Spooktacular, featuring trick-or-treating, face painting food trucks and coffin races, will be held today from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School field at on Memorial Boulevard.
The festival debuted last year, attracting over 4,000 visitors. This year, attendees can expect a “roaming railroad” train, a Haunted Spirits Brew Tent, local vendors, a D.J. and the highly anticipated coffin races. Admission to the event is free.
Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of culinary delights from local food trucks, including Lucan’s Grill, Greers Cluck Truck, CT Yankee Catering, Szabo’s Seafood, Lucky Dog World’s Famous Hot Dogs, Dem Boyz, Kingston Eatzz and the Prime Truck.
In addition to the festive activities, the Rockwell Theater will screen two retro favorites. “Hocus Pocus” will kick off the festivities at 2 p.m., followed by a 40th anniversary screening of “The Terminator” at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for each movie are $5.
