The Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue its 2024 hydrant flushing season on Monday, Oct. 28, on the following streets:

• Deerpark Road,
• Sonstrom Road,
• Northwestern Drive,
• LaCava Road,
• Purdue Road,
• Michigan Avenue,
• Rambler Street,
• Old Turnpike Road,
• Inwood Lane,
• Foxwood Lane,
• Iowa Place,
• Massachusetts Drive,
• Illinois Avenue,
• New Hampshire Drive, and
• some of the surrounding areas.

The flushing in this area will continue until the next area is posted.

Flushing will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. Customers are advised to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during the flushing and for short periods afterwards.

Washing clothes during the flushing period is not advised. It is recommended that customers run an outside facet or the cold water in a bathtub until the waters run clear.
