This year’s Spooktacular on the field at Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School field featured its first coffin races on Saturday, Oct. 26. The winner was the Creative Jam team. Ron Tessman captures some of the fun with these photos.

Creative Jam might have won, but the joy was in participating, if these happy faces–well, the unmasked ones–tell the story. | Ron Tessman

The annual event, in its second year, drew thousands to the field at BAIMS, where the family friendly activities included trick-or-treating, face painting food trucks, a “roaming railroad” train, a Haunted Spirits Brew Tent and local vendors.

The Halloween Spooktacular is presented by the City Arts & Culture Commission and Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services Department.
