55th Mum-A-Thon draws over 200 participants

The 55th Mum-A-Thon 5K Road Race and its Kids Monster Mile drew over 200 runners to St. Paul Catholic High School, where the race kicked off Sunday, Oct. 27.

The top male and female finishers were William Galpin of Cookeville, Tenn., and Melissa Stellano of South Windsor, respectively. Joining Galpin in the men’s division were second place finisher Pat Dennen of Avon and third place finisher Colby Brown of Terryville. The second and third place finishers in the women’s division were Linda Spooner of Sturbridge, Mass., and Kristina Petit of Plainville.

Proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Beekley Center Breast Health & Wellness, the Carousel Museum, Clock & Watch Museum, Boys & Girls Club, Imagine Nation, United Way, Bristol Family Resource Center and Shepard Meadows.
