Traffic was reduced to a single lane and backups this afternoon as the Bristol Fire Dept. fought another brush fire off Mountain for the second time in a week.

Connecticut remains in a critical situation from dry conditions and high winds. Last week, Gov. Ned Lamont declared a state of emergency. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for Connecticut and surrounding states.

For a Red Flag Warning, restricts burning of outdoor fires and recommends not throwing cigarettes or matches out of moving vehicles.
