Mix Street by Lochaven Road and Jerome Avenue to have water shut down Wednesday, Nov. 6

The water on Mix Street between Lochaven Road and Jerome Avenue will be shut down between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department announced in an emergency shutoff notice today. There are about 15 services that may be affected.

Surrounding areas may also experience a period of low water pressure. When the water is turned back on customers may experience some discolored water. If that is the case, the department advises running an outside faucet or the cold water only in the bathtub until the water clears.

A water filling station is located at the Water Filtration Plant and is available to any customers who are affected by an extended service interruption 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

There is no charge to customers affected by the water service interruption. Customers will need to bring their containers and Filtration Plant Operators will assist in filling them.
