What Are Raid Battles?

In Pokémon GO, Raid Battles let trainers battle a powerful Boss Pokémon at Gyms for a chance to catch it. There are four tiers: 1-Star, 3-Star, 5-Star, and Mega Raids. Higher-tier Raids bring tougher opponents, often requiring teamwork with other trainers to succeed.

How to Get Raid Passes

Daily Free Raid Pass: Spin a Gym’s Photo Disc to earn one free Raid Pass each day.

Premium Raid Pass: Available for purchase in the Shop, allowing you to participate in additional Raids.

Remote Raid Pass: Great for raiding from a distance! Join any Raid within view from your Map.

Tips for Catching Raid Bosses

Defeating the Raid Boss grants you Premier Balls to catch it, though there’s no guarantee of success. Here are some tips to increase your chances:

  • Deal high damage to the Raid Boss and try to have the Gym under your team’s control.
  • Participate with friends for more Premier Balls.
  • Use Razz Berries or Golden Razz Berries and aim for Excellent Throws to boost your odds.

This November is packed with opportunities to add powerful Pokémon to your lineup, so grab your Raid Passes and prepare for some intense battles around Bristol’s Gyms!

For the raids, here are their locations:

  • Federal Hill Green, 33 Queen St.
  • Page Park, 651 King St.
  • Rockwell Park, 238 Jacobs St.

As always, Raid Hours take place every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m., and you won’t have to worry about time zones as it will always be your local time. This is the perfect chance to get out there and catch yourself a Legendary Pokémon.

Let’s get out there and catch them all! Happy hunting!
