A pedestrian was struck and killed on Barnes Highway at its intersection with Lincoln Avenue earlier this evening at 6 p.m., Bristol Police have reported in a release this evening.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Bristol Police Department’s serious traffic accident reconstruction team (START) responded and processed the scene closing the road to traffic. The roadway has been reopened.
