Bristol Eastern softball standout Emily Valentine signed a letter of intent last week to play for Stony Brook University in New York starting in the 2025-26 school year.
Eastern Coach Tyler Catlin said that “Emily has been a 3 year starter at BEHS. She started as a Freshman in Left Field and helped our team go on “Cindarella Run” to the Semifinals. Last year, as a Junior Emily led our team to a 16-6 record and a quarterfinal appearance against Ellington.”
He continued, “She has been an all-conference and all-state outfielder for the last 2 seasons “(2023, 2024)
Statistically, Emily is approaching 100 hits. She has 92 for her career to go along with 50 career stolen bases (29 as a junior), 94 career runs, 54 career RBI, 21 career extra-base hits.
During the summer, Emily plays for the RI Thunder for 18u Dave Lotti. The team is stacked with division 1 talent and they play some of the best teams across the country throughout the summer.
