Friends of the Bristol Public Library to host annual holiday mini sale

The Manross Library. | Laura Bailey

The Friends of the Bristol Public Library will host their annual Holiday Mini-Sale throughout December at both the Bristol Public Library and the Manross Memorial Library. The sale will take place in the libraries’ lobbies at 5 High Street and 260 Central Street, respectively, during regular operating hours.

Shoppers will find a selection of nearly new, gift-quality books for readers of all ages, as well as a wide array of children’s picture books, movies, music, and other holiday-themed items. The sale, which operates on a cash-only basis, will feature new items added regularly throughout the month.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Friends of the Bristol Public Library, Inc., a non-profit volunteer organization established in 1980. The group helps fund a variety of library programs and activities, including reading initiatives, educational workshops, and community events.

The Friends of the Bristol Public Library organization relies on the dedication of volunteers to fulfill its mission and continue promoting the Bristol libraries as cultural and educational hubs for the city of Bristol and Forestville.
