BRISTOL- The Bristol Interfaith Coalition is inviting residents of Bristol and surrounding towns to join in the spirit of gratitude and unity at its Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the First Congregational Church, located at 31 Maple Street.

The Thanksgiving service offers a chance for the community to come together as a diverse group of people from many faith traditions, united in the blessings shared by all.

“We will have a truly special combined chorus and bell choir this year,” said Bristol Interfaith Coalition member Laura Minor, “and First Congregational Church has started up the old tradition of refreshments afterwards! Please join us.”

The Spirit of Giving

In keeping with the spirit of giving, a collection of nonperishable food items and financial donations will be taken for Zion Lutheran Meals for Neighbors. The organization has requested donations of soups, pasta and sauce, coffee, canned vegetables, breakfast foods, and oatmeal

For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on the First Congregational Church website, with a link available on the Bristol Interfaith Coalition’s Facebook page.
