BRISTOL- The Bristol Public Library Children’s Department invites Pokémon fans of all ages to catch all the fun at its Pokémon Party this Saturday, Nov. 23, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The event will feature family-friendly crafts, games, and treats, all inspired by the beloved Pokémon universe.

“Pokémon is something that entire families enjoy,” Librarian Alex Holley said. “This family friendly event will be high energy and filled with excitement perfect for kids of all ages. The party will include Pokémon cookie decorating supplied by Elle’s Sugar Shoppe, a Pikachu craft, pin the tale on the Pikachu, Who’s that Pokémon, Pokémon Bingo, and a scavenger hunt.”

Pokémon, a Japanese media franchise, includes video games, animated series, films, and a trading card game. The franchise, which began in the 1990s, became a global phenomenon and remains a cultural staple today.

Michelle Kepler, owner of Elle’s Sugar Shoppe, will provide themed cookies for attendees to decorate. She is excited to be part of the event and bring her “Paint Your Own Cookies” activity to the community.

“I will be making vanilla sugar cookies with a vanilla icing, Kepler said. “They will have images of various Pokémon for the children to paint. I have always been excited to participate in events for children and aim to bring my paint your own cookies to more events giving children the opportunity to be creative while enjoying a treat at the same time.”

In addition to the activities, the Pokémon Party will give children the chance to connect with others who share their love for the franchise.

“The thing that excites me the most about the Pokémon Party is welcoming new faces to the library and showing them all the amazing things it has to offer,” said Holley. “I also love sharing something that I enjoyed as a little girl with a new generation.”

The Pokémon Party will be held from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the Bristol Public Library, located at 5 High Street in Bristol. For more information, visit The Bristol Public Library Website
