After a tremendously successful fund raising campaign in October, the Bristol Fire Department and the New Cambridge Brewing Project were able to present a check for $8,000 on Tuesday to the Bristol Hospital Beekman Center for breast cancer Screening and treatment.
Bristol Firefighter Seth Zepka sought to expand the department’s fundraising efforts this year beyond their usual T-shirt sales. They partnered with Luis Vega and Spencer Shankle of The New Cambridge Brewing Project to create a beer to sell as part of the fundraiser.
The result was “Bristol Fire Department- Fighting For a Cure,” seen in the photo above. The beer sold very well, but there is still a limited supply remaining at New Cambridge.
Bristol Firefighters and Shankle and Vega made the check presentation at Bristol Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
