‘Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day’ among Pokémon Go events this week

December is brimming with exciting Pokémon Go events that promise thrilling adventures and rare catches. Whether you’re a seasoned player or novice, there’s something for everyone in the next couple of weeks. Get ready to explore the vibrant in-game world while celebrating alongside Bristol’s Pokémon Go community.

Events

Just My Cup of Tea: Now – Dec. 7

  • The spotlight is on Sinistea and Polteageist, debuting during the Dual Destiny season. Catch these spooky tea-themed Pokémon and dive into themed activities across Bristol’s parks and PokéStops.

Aspiring Dragons Research Day: Dec. 7

  • This Saturday, seek out Dragon-type Pokémon like Horsea, Trapinch, and Swablu through Research Tasks, all with increased Shiny rates. Downtown Bristol’s hotspots will surely be bustling with Trainers!

Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day: Dec. 8

  • On Sunday, from 2 PM to 5 PM, challenge the majestic Gigantamax Lapras in Six-Star Max Raids. Head to Rockwell Park or other popular raid locations for your shot at catching a Shiny variant.

Young & Wise: Dec. 10–14

  • Starting next Tuesday, this event celebrates young Pokémon like Munchlax and Togepi in 2 km Eggs, while wise Pokémon such as Drampa and Wyrdeer appear in 3-Star Raids. It’s the perfect event for egg-hatching enthusiasts!

Raids

Raids take place every Wednesday from 6 – 7 p.m. at The Federal Hill Green, Page Park and Rockwell Park. The following raids are coming up this week:

  • Five-Star Raids: Genesect (Chill Drive) through December 12.
  • Mega Raids: Banette (Mega) running through Dec. 12, followed by Latios (Mega) starting Dec. 12.
  • Three-Star Raids: Alakazam, Drampa, Wyrdeer, and Oranguru.
  • One-Star Raids: Shinx, Scraggy, Tyrunt, Jangmo-o, and Phantump.

Tips for Trainers

  • Stock Up: Visit PokéStops beforehand to collect Poké Balls, Potions, and Revives.
  • Plan: Coordinate with fellow Trainers for Raids or Research Tasks.
  • Stay Safe: Be mindful of your surroundings and weather conditions while exploring.

Whether you’re strolling through Bristol’s parks or meeting up at popular Gyms, these events offer a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow Pokémon Go fans while catching some amazing Pokémon.
