For over a decade, Rob and Loraine Ozenkowski have transformed their Rosewood Drive home into a dazzling winter wonderland, bringing joy to the community with their annual “Lights on Rosewood” holiday display. The festive spectacle, now in its 12th year, continues to draw thousands of visitors from near and far, all while raising money for local charities.

The light show features thousands of twinkling lights synchronized to music, along with a vibrant mix of inflatable decorations, animated figures, and holiday-themed scenes. The display has become a beloved tradition in the Bristol area, attracting people of all ages to experience the magic of the season.

“They make the lights do all that fun stuff!” said 5-year-old Jayden Martin, who was watching the synchronized light show with awe. “The lights are so big; Santa will see them from the North Pole.”

What started in 2012 as a modest display to brighten their neighborhood has evolved into a full-scale holiday attraction, drawing visitors from across Connecticut and beyond.

“It’s great for the kids,” said Maria Martez, who visited the show with her family. “There are six of us, four kids, and it’s nice to take them somewhere that my husband and I enjoy too. It’s also wonderful that they collect donations for people in need.”

While the light display is free to visit, the Ozenkowskis encourage visitors to make donations, with all proceeds benefiting local charities. Over the years, Lights on Rosewood has raised thousands of dollars for causes like food banks, youth programs, and other community initiatives.

This year, all monetary donations will go to the Barbieri Family of Bristol, while nonperishable food items and canned goods will be donated to Brian’s Angels Homeless Outreach, an organization that supports those experiencing homelessness in the area.

The display is open daily from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. through December 25 at 111 Rosewood Drive in Bristol. On Thursdays through Sundays, visitors can tune in to 98.3 FM to hear the music that accompanies the synchronized light show.

Parking is available along the side of the road, but visitors are asked to be mindful not to block driveways.

As the Ozenkowskis celebrate 12 years of holiday cheer, the tradition continues to grow, spreading warmth, joy, and goodwill to the Bristol community and beyond.
