Public Hearing scheduled for proposed amendments to Bristol Code of Ordinances

The Ordinance Committee of the City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, to discuss two proposed amendments to the Bristol Code of Ordinances.

The hearing will take place in the 1st Floor Meeting Room 1-1 at City Hall, located at 111 North Main Street. The session will begin at 4:50 p.m. with a discussion on an amendment to Chapter 19, Police, Article II. Department, Section 19-17, which addresses ranks and grades within the Bristol Police Department.

The second hearing, scheduled to start at 4:55 p.m., will focus on a proposed amendment to Chapter 2, Administration, Division 6, Police and Fire Retirement, Section 2-97.3, concerning retirement benefits and their payment.
