Jordan Chisholm was hot from start to finish, scoring 36 points in leading the Bristol Eastern boys basketball team to a 69-53 win over Watertown. The game took place on Saturday night at BEHS.
Chisholm hit on 13 field goals, eight of which were three-pointers, enroute to his 36- point game.
The teams went back and forth in the first quarter with the Lancers leading 15-14 after eight minutes of play.
Eastern owned the second period, outscoring the Watertown, 21-8. This stretched the lead to a 36-22 halftime advantage. Chisholm connected on four three’s in the quarter.
Watertown cut into the Lancer lead in the third. The Warriors’ Chris O’Toole scored 9 of his 25 points in the period. Eastern still led after three, but the margin was cut to an eight point lead, 48-40.
Chisholm then poured in 15 points in the final quarter, including three 3’s from downtown. The Lancers then cruised to the 16-point win, 69-53.
Eastern’s Zaveyn Tate scored 11 points, Jacob Kingsley scored eight, and Naseem Walker added seven points in the Lancer attack.
Eastern is now 6-1, winning their sixth consecutive game, while Watertown falls to 3-3.
Eastern faces a tough week coming up ,with a game at Bloomfield on Monday, and a game at Northwest Catholic on Friday.
