The City of Bristol announced today the launch of a new, convenient way for residents to recycle redeemable beverage containers. A CLYNK redemption station is now open at the Stop & Shop located at 597 Farmington Avenue in Bristol Plaza.

CLYNK, a popular recycling program in Maine and New York State, has selected Bristol as its first location in Connecticut. The program offers a digitally based redemption system for beverage containers, making it easier for consumers to return bottles and cans for recycling and earn deposits.

To celebrate the opening, a brief ceremony will take place at the CLYNK redemption center at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10. Following the ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to tour RecyclX, a bulk redemption facility at 95 Wooster Court in Bristol, where the beverage containers will be processed.

RecyclX, which will serve as the sole redemption and processing center for all CLYNK locations in Connecticut, has partnered with CLYNK to manage the collection and processing of the containers. The 31,579-square-foot facility will handle the containers collected from CLYNK stations across the state.
