Water shut down on Sandra Street at intersection with Rose Street

The water on Sandra Street at the intersection with Rose Street will be shut down for an emergency water main repair today, Monday, Jan. 13, an emergency notice from the Bristol Water and Sewer Dept. announced earlier.

Surrounding areas may also have no water as well as experience a period of low water pressure. When the water is turned back, the water may be discolored. If this happens, run an outside faucet or the cold water only in the bathtub until the water clears.

A water filling station is located at the Water Filtration Plant and is available to any customers who are affected by an extended service interruption 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. There is no charge to customers affected by the water service interruption, but customers will need to bring their own containers. Filtration Plant Operators will assist in filling them.

The Water Filtration Plant is located at 1080 Terryville Ave. The phone number is (860) 583-6504. Customers are asked to call in advance of visiting the plant.
