This weekend promises a vibrant mix of music, art, and film for local residents and visitors alike. From classic films to live performances and immersive art experiences, there’s something for everyone.

$5 Throwback Thursday Film: Soul – Thursday, Jan. 16
Rockwell Theater, 6:30 p.m.
Kicking off the weekend’s events is a special screening of Soul, the animated Disney-Pixar film that explores themes of passion, life’s purpose, and the human spirit. The movie follows Joe Gardner, a middle school band teacher whose true love is jazz, as he embarks on a life-changing journey to another realm. The film provides a powerful message about discovering what makes life meaningful.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 6:30 p.m. Popcorn, snacks, and water will be available for purchase. Tickets are $5.

Octane: Connecticut’s Newest Hard Rock Cover Band – Friday, Jan. 17
Bleachers Bar, 9 p.m.
Hard rock fans can head to Bleachers Bar for a night of live music from Octane, Connecticut’s newest hard rock cover band. With their high-energy performances, Octane will rock the stage with classic and modern rock anthems that will keep the crowd moving.

The Soul Session – Saturday, Jan. 18
Rockwell Theater, 5 p.m.
An evening combining music, art and poetry, The Soul Session celebrates the essence of jazz and soul music. The event will feature live performances from talented musicians, spoken word poetry, and a silent art auction. Attendees can expect live paintings, a mic toss, and other interactive experiences that bring together the best of the local arts scene.

Physical Graffiti: “The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Show” – Saturday, Jan. 18
Bleachers Bar, 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday night, Bleachers Bar will host Physical Graffiti, a tribute band dedicated to recreating the legendary sound and energy of Led Zeppelin. The band’s spot-on renditions of Zeppelin’s greatest hits, combined with their theatrical performance, make for an unforgettable night for fans of classic rock.
