Caminiti visits Bristol Public Library for special viewing of portrait at the start of a special year

Joe Caminiti, a World War II Iwo Jima survivor, celebrated his upcoming 100th birthday with a portrait viewing at the Bristol Public Library. Vietnam veteran John Lodovico, who funded the framing, attended during his lunch break. Caminiti’s portrait will join other military honors at local museums, ensuring his legacy is preserved.

Bristol family honored by Wheeler at annual event

At Wheeler’s 13th Annual Hands & Hearts event, Bristol’s Joe and Toni Frady were honored for their four-year commitment to supporting families in need. Their contributions aided numerous Wheeler programs. Other honorees included Eversource Energy, the Friends and Family of Sam Marszycki, and Francis Vincent for their impactful support in various initiatives.






Carousel Museum to admit children for free in 2024

The Carousel Museum will offer free admission for children aged 12 and under in 2024, thanks to support from the Barnes Foundation. Education Manager Katie Bassett announced enhancements to the Tinker Workshop, featuring new interactive activities. The initiative aims to inspire creativity and promote STEAM learning for young visitors through hands-on experiences.
